Welcome to Little Gull Marina!

The kids are out of school, the bridge parking areas have filled up and the gas docks are busy…Its summer!!  Congratulations to everyone who graduated this year, even from kindergarten – big accomplishments and summer break is well-deserved.
We are excited to welcome back our summer staff for this year – Claire, Kery, Kris, Julian, Heather & Shawna.  They are looking forward to seeing you all on the gas docks and in the store.  As of today, our hours for the rest of the summer are 8am-8pm every day. Ice cream is stocked, the chip shelves are full and we are ready for a beautiful weekend ahead (once this rain leaves).
There are lots of exciting things happening this summer!  To start the summer, Lori Harper is running swimming lessons again at the point.  She will be here on Sunday for in person registration from 9:30-10:30.  You can also contact her to register or download the registration form here.
One Big Day is happening again this year at the Community Center on July 16th starting at 9am.  Yard sale, bake sale, baseball tournament, book sale, snack bar, kids` activities, balloon animals (11-1), etc.  Come out and join everyone for a great day in the community!
Ski-Mazing watersports are going to be here on August 6th to take people parasailing.  This event requires pre-registration, so call or stop by to sign up to see the lake from the sky!
The Mississagua Lake Regatta is also happening here on July 23rd.  This is always a fun day for kids and adults alike!

With just over a week left of school we are starting to see lots of familiar faces returning to the cottage and the candy counter.  We are still working hard to get all the boats in the water on time for you to enjoy.
We have some exciting events planned already for this summer. The first of course is Lori Harper’s swim program.  Swimming lessons will be running out at the point again for the 13th summer.  There will be 3 sessions, each session 2 weeks in length running Tuesday-Friday mornings.  This year, she is also running a length swim for adults who want to come out and get some exercise in, or work on their strokes, in between socializing 🙂  Registration forms and more information are available here.
On Saturday, August 6th, we will be hosting a parasail day with Ski-Mazing Watersports. There is a sign-up sheet available in the marina and more information is available on our Events page.

Somehow it is almost the middle of June and the weather (like most of 2016 so far) can’t seem to make up its mind.  Summer came, then it left again….we hope it comes back!  And we sure hope the sun stays out this weekend for the ladies with Survivor’s Abreast as they host the annual Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival tomorrow.  Leah will be paddling her heart out so if you’re in town, stop by Delcrary Park and check it out.  If you’re staying at the lake, Gord will be happy to see you in the store.
Until the end of June, we are open from 8am-5pm every day.  Our Sales section has been completely updated with boats, trailers and ATVs, so if you’re looking for a new toy for this summer, check it out!
