Arcade thorough enjoys his winter activities – he takes his duties seriously as you can see.  Another weekend is here and the trails are not good, especially with all the rain we’ve had, so we will be closed tomorrow.  Thunderstorms last night here….in February?! Cottage roads are getting quite soft where the sun has gotten to them.  The long range still has some hope for all the winter lovers out there to have one more change to enjoy before the inevitable end of snow.  Please be careful out there and stay away from running water.
The Mississagua Dam replacement is well under way with the crew on site every day working to ensure our water levels are maintained here long in to the future.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Welcome to family day weekend! There is lots of snow and snowmobile trails are in great shape. The lakes however are quite slushy. It looks like it will be a gorgeous weekend with spring like temperatures, so if you will be up here, there is free access to the OFSC trails feb 18-20 – You just have to register on their website to receive a free pass. The BDSC is also hosting its annual Enjoy Your Ride BBQ today from 11-3.
With the warm temperatures, you might be starting to feel like spring is just around the corner so try to be proactive and let Gord know of any stuff you might want done to your boat.

Have a great long weekend

Another week has gone by and trails are getting much better thanks to all of the efforts of the BDSC despite Mother Nature. We are finally starting to see some green and more yellow than red on the trail map. Lakes are starting to be traveled, but please be cautious as there is still lots of water running in the narrows etc. Many places that are generally frozen and safe by now are still open water, and some of the braver folks up here enjoy running the water. Keep your eyes open, don’t simply follow someone else’s tracks, and know where you are going so everyone stays safe. There is snow in forecast next week so hopefully that helps to make it feel like a real Canadian winter.

The boat show went very well with record sales for a lot of dealers. It was great to see so many customers down at the show dreaming of spring!

Safe travels this weekend and hope to see you up enjoying this more winter-like weather!
