It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago, this is what the lakes looked like. If you were out and about last weekend, the conditions for hiking and riding couldn’t have been better!  It was for sure a good way to end the season it looks like. The rain, sun and warm temperatures over the last week have started to melt things very quickly. There is still a fair bit of snow in the forest, but the lakes are bare now, with water sitting on top of the ice. If you are venturing out for a walk or ride, please be aware that there is lots of running water and we have started to see areas near shore and currents beginning to open up.

As we start to think about spring being around the corner, if you have any special requests for any water toys, either looking for something new or used, or repairs you would like done on your current fleet, contact Michelle and she can get the ball rolling.
If you’re thinking it might be time for a new dock to secure your fleet, Ryan’s schedule for new custom docks is quickly filling for the 2020 season, so contact him as soon as possible to enquire about time frames, quotes, and to get in the queue.

The summer swim program that runs here each year at Little Gull we hope to see continue,  but Lori is looking for someone to help instruct. If you, or someone you know are a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and want to work part time this summer at the lake, contact Lori for more information!

Stay safe and healthy!

Well we are a bit behind in getting an update out there, but perhaps better late than never?  We haven’t been out riding at all yet this year, but our trusty sources say that things are starting to look better, however about a week ago they ran some open water coming across Mississagua.  So for folks who are asking us if the lakes are safe, my answer is I’m not riding them just yet, especially Mississagua and Catchacoma, but there are lots of tracks out there.  We heard good things about the trails over the weekend though, and you can always check their status here. Buckhorn District Snowmobile Club has postponed their annual BBQ on the trails that was originally scheduled for this Saturday. If you were planning on getting out and enjoying the trails with some food, The Catch at Beaver Lake Road and 507 is open all weekend, right on the trails!

Enjoy the rest of the week and have a great Family Day Weekend!
